Once serving as the emergency exit door of an Airbus A320 aircraft, the aluminium exterior has been polished to a mirror-finish and supports a toughened glass top. The frame and legs have been hand crafted out of solid, sustainable black American walnut to form beautiful curves that remain true to the original engineering of the door. The underbelly chassis has been powder-coated to add a dash of vibrancy.

Three different metalwork finishes are available: a perfect mirror-polish, a rustic mirror-polish and a unique matt polish. To preserve the beauty of the original features we laboriously polish around each individual rivet to preserve its elevation and character.

– To care for your polished aluminium, we suggest keeping it clean with a dry dust cloth.
– Metals will dull and develop a patina over time, nothing a bit of polish and elbow grease wont fix, for more information, feel free to get in touch.
– Wood is a natural material that reacts to its environment, keep in a dry and warm room.
Once we take each escape hatch from the aircraft we take it to our workshop on old farm in Wiltshire, UK. There we get to work, stripping sanding, cleaning and polishing the door.
We love a splash of colour and have used a huge variety of colours over the years on these tables, from standard block colours to metallics and our personal favourites, the candy colours. Favourite so far, candy pink.
The wooden table frame is carved and made by hand , right here in our workshop, from solid black American walnut. Stained and sealed, we fit the re-polished acrylic window and door becomes table.
